Jazz in Le Meridian Etoile is a must in ALU forum.
I woke up in the morning and had a gorgeus networking breakfast with Lluis Rivas from tpartner and Manolo from Ositel.
Instead of attending the general meeting with the big boss, Ben Verwaayen, I decided walk around the demo area, where a new tag-information system was supposed to be working (I’m still not sure if it really worked).
This year we have the same Application partner area where Plantronics, Konftel, Radvision, Tandberg… have their little stands, the same strategic alliances area with IBM, HP… and the most noticeable was the absecence of Microsoft.
The demo area is quite overcrowded in general and has so much information that is quite difficult to handle for my non-techie brain (next year my presales team should come with me).
What impressed/interested me most was the innovation area, to be more especific an innovation project about wifi tracking innovation with (mini-APs and a new active tag systems that allows, reduce cost of implementation, ellimanate training positioning process).
